CISD Board of Trustees names new finalist

The Celina ISD Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the finalist selected through the Board's appointment process to fill the Place 1 seat, which is being vacated by Chuck Hansen.

The Board utilized a structured review process focused on applicant qualifications, experience, and responses to a consistent set of questions on the application.

The following seven applications, listed in alphabetical order by last name, were received for consideration:

• Riley Connolly
• Katie Dunn
• Vicky Hogue
• Gregg Mitchell
• Erin Norris
• Ryan Samuelson
• Krysten Wilkins

To maintain objectivity during the initial review phase, all identifying information was removed from the applications and each applicant was assigned a number. Trustees reviewed and independently scored the anonymous applications before selecting finalists for interviews.

The following finalists were selected for interviews:

• Katie Dunn
• Gregg Mitchell
• Krysten Wilkins

Following interviews and final deliberations, the Board selected Katie Dunn as the finalist for appointment to the Place 1 position on the Celina ISD Board of Trustees in a 6-0 vote with Chuck Hansen abstaining. Katie Dunn will be officially sworn in at the May 18 Regular Board Meeting.

The Board is grateful to the seven individuals who stepped-up to serve the students and staff of Celina ISD.
