General Information
Celina Independent School District collaborates with Collin College to provide students with the chance to obtain Dual Credit. Those enrolled in Dual Credit courses are able to earn both high school and college credits at the same time. The grades achieved in Dual Credit courses during the Fall and Spring semesters are weighted, factored into the student’s high school GPA, and are recorded on both the high school and college transcripts.
In order to qualify for enrollment in Dual Credit courses, students are required to satisfy the admission criteria set by the college and submit an application to Collin College. Furthermore, students must undergo the application and registration procedures, which include completing the TSI assessment, and must submit a copy of their college transcript or grade report at the conclusion of the semester. It is important to note that Dual Credit courses taken during summer sessions or online will not be factored into the student's high school GPA, although they will be recorded on both the high school and college transcripts.
Students are responsible for paying all tuition, books, and fees associated with Collin College Dual Credit courses.

Collegiate Academy
Graduate from Celina High School with a college degree!
Celina Independent School District continues to exhibit excellence and innovation through the CISD Collegiate Academy in partnership with Collin College. This program allows students to simultaneously earn an associate degree and high school diploma, or earn up to 60 hours of dual credit while in high school. The program began in the 2023-24 school year. Collegiate Academy students will be enrolled at Celina High School and can continue to be a Bobcat by participating in CHS programs including fine arts, athletics, career and technology education and other student clubs. One of the most critical parts of CISD providing this opportunity for students is to ensure students have a high school experience.
