Celina ISD fosters an environment that equips all bilingual and multicultural learners to successfully graduate and become lifelong learners.  Our students will be empowered to succeed in an increasingly diverse and multilingual society. 

Mission

The mission of Celina ISD Bilingual Programs is to ensure all Emergent Bilinguals attain the highest level of proficiency in the English language and attain the highest academic achievement, while creating educational equity for the academic, linguistic, and social success of all language learners by advocating a culture of collaboration that embraces cultural and linguistic diversity to promote an inclusive learning environment.

Goals

Through English language instruction, the Emergent Bilingual learner works toward the attainment of ESL proficiency standards and goals, achievement and realization of long term personal, social, and economic success in an English speaking society. The goals are to:

1. Use English to communicate effectively in a social setting.
2. Use English to achieve academic standards in all content areas.
3. Use English in culturally appropriate ways.
