In accordance with Board approved policy DEC(LOCAL), the district shall pay any employee half of that employee’s daily rate up to $175 per day for all unused Local leave at the end of the school year. 

DEC(LOCAL):
Each employee shall receive an annual payment for unused local leave to a maximum of five days per school year.

The employee shall receive payment for each day of unused local leave at a rate established by the Board.

Days for which the employee received payment shall not be available to that employee for use in the District.

The rate established by the Board shall be in effect until a new rate is adopted. Any changes to the rate shall apply beginning with the school year following the adoption of the rate change.
 

In accordance with Board approved policy DEAB(LOCAL), the district shall pay non-exempt employees for accrued comp time in excess of 60 hours and/or any unused comp time at the end of a duty year.

DEAB(LOCAL):
Compensatory time earned by nonexempt employees may not accrue beyond a maximum of 60 hours. If an employee has a balance of more than 60 hours of compensatory time, the District shall require the employee to use the compensatory time, or at the District's option, the District shall pay the employee for the compensatory time.

An employee shall use compensatory time within the duty year in which it is earned. If an employee has any unused compensatory time remaining at the end of a duty year, the District shall pay the employee for the compensatory time.
