Celina ISD Board of Trustees Vice President, Todd Snyder, resigned his position (Place 7) at the regularly scheduled July 25 Board meeting. Mr. Snyder and his wife have begun their new journey out-of-state to explore an employment opportunity. He served eleven years on the Board of Trustees, and Celina ISD celebrates Mr. Snyder’s unwavering commitment and dedication to our students, staff, and community.

In order to fill this vacancy, Celina ISD Board of Trustees will appoint a new board member per the specifications of local and legal policy to fulfill the Place 7 term. A candidate selected and approved by the Board to fill the vacancy for Place 7 would serve through April 2023. If the appointed Board member wishes to continue to serve beyond this date, he or she would be required by law to run for election during the May 2023 Board of Trustees election. The term for Place 7 expires at the end of the April 2024, at which time the seat would be eligible for election to a three-year term.

Signed applications must be submitted in person to Board Secretary Sarah Wood at the CISD Administration Office (205 S. Colorado St.) by 4:00 pm on Friday, August 12, 2022. The CISD Board of Trustees will review applications during closed session at the regularly scheduled August 15, 2022 Board meeting, and all candidates will be notified of their status on August 16. Top candidates will be invited to interview with the Board during a Special Called meeting on the evening of August 22, 2022.
