Dear 6th Grade Parents,

Recently, two of our campuses had to transition to virtual learning. Despite our focused efforts to mitigate the spread, the 6th Grade campus is now experiencing a rise in positive COVID cases, which has also caused a large percentage of students and faculty to quarantine due to close contact.  As today unfolded, more cases were brought to our attention and the decision to transition to virtual learning was made with the best interest of the students and staff in mind. Beginning Tuesday, January 26th, Celina 6th Grade Center will transition to all-virtual instruction through Friday, January 29th. Students will return to in-person learning on Monday, February 1st.

The 6th Grade staff worked with their students this afternoon to make sure that devices were sent home with them today. If you child is needing their device, staff will be available to hand out electronic devices at the front of the school during normal drop-off and pick-up times on Tuesday for students who still need these resources at home. Links for virtual learning can be found in your child’s Google Classroom. Students who are in need of technology resources or who are experiencing difficulty accessing online learning are asked to submit a ticket by clicking here.

For those needing food services, pick-up will be available for breakfast at 8:00 a.m and lunch at 11:00 a.m on the east side of the 6th Grade Center. Please click on this link to place meal orders.  For additional information, please contact CISD Director of Food Services Ofelia Almendarez 469-742-9100 x1109.
