Dear O’Dell Elementary Parents,

Due to the large number of students and staff needing to be quarantined, we have great concern for the health and safety of all students and staff at O’Dell Elementary School. Beginning Thursday, January 14th, O’Dell Elementary will move to all-virtual instruction through Thursday, January 21st. Students will return to in-person learning on Friday, January 22nd. We apologize that this decision is being made late in the day today; but we must respond as these cases are being brought to us. O’Dell staff will work to send devices home with students today, and staff will be available to hand out electronic devices at the front of the school during normal drop-off and pick-up times tomorrow for students who still need these resources at home. Please know that this decision was made with the best interests of the students and staff in mind and to ultimately ensure the continuation of a quality education for all students. The health and safety of our students and staff remains our top priority, and we are committed to honoring our community’s interest in providing as normal a school experience as possible for our students. Grab-and-go lunches will be available for all O’Dell ES students throughout next week. For those needing food services, pickup will be available at 11:00 a.m. in front of the building. For additional information, please contact CISD Director of Food Services Ofelia Almendarez at 469-742-9100 x1109. Students in need of technology resources or who are experiencing difficulty accessing online learning are asked to submit a ticket by clicking here.
