Dear Celina Primary Parents,

Due to a spike in lab-positive COVID-19 cases among staff members at Celina Primary School, and due to the number of students and staff needing to be quarantined, the fidelity and integrity required of in-person instruction is being negatively impacted. For this reason, and out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of all students and staff, Celina Primary School will move to all-virtual instruction beginning Friday, December 11th, through Friday, December 18th.

Please know that this decision was made with the best interests of the students and staff in mind and to ultimately ensure the continuation of a quality education for all students. The health and safety of our students and staff remains our top priority, and we are committed to honoring our community’s interest in providing as normal a school experience as possible for our students.

We ask parents to continue monitoring the health of their children and notify the school if a child becomes ill. Students in need of resources or who are experiencing difficulty accessing online learning throughout the week are asked to contact the front office so that we may assist you. Grab-and-go lunches will be available for all Celina Primary students starting on Friday. For additional information, please contact CISD Director of Food Services Ofelia Almendarez at 469-742-9100.

Sincerely,

Tom Maglisceau
