The Celina Education Foundation kicked off their second year grant opportunity for Celina ISD Faculty members during the month of November. Grants For Great Ideas awarded over $11,000 to winning entries for their innovative ideas. The following staff members received a surprise visit from Celina Education Board members during the last week of school before winter break. The winning entries are as follows;

Celina Primary School - Brittney Aldridge was awarded $1,090.10 for “Riding Into Learning.”

Celina Elementary School - Starla Martin was awarded $400.00 for “The Ultimate Gift.”

Celina Junior High - Jennifer Sutton was awarded $573.73 for “Career Gallery Walk.”

Celina Junior High - Jymi Bernard and Lisa Smith were awarded $1,436.00 for “Quilted Math.”

Celina Junior High - Myshele Morgan was awarded $1,500.00 for “Girls Who Code.”

Celina High School - Tisha Poncio was awarded $2,511.81 for “Teacher Learning Lab.”

Celina High School - Martie Furtick was awarded $1,558.97 for “Expanding the Vision.”

Celina High School - Pam Gerhart was awarded $2,095.00 for “Aquaponics System.”
