Celina & Princeton Communities Support Harvey Victims / Ch 8 Spirit Award Rescheduled
Posted on 08/29/2017

Recently, Celina High School was honored to have been selected as a finalist for the “Most Spirited High School,” contest offered through WFAA Channel 8 and Verizon.  A presentation was to be made at our first pep rally scheduled for this Friday, followed by a pre-game presentation at Bobcat Field.

Due to the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, WFAA’s sister station located in Houston has had to temporarily close and move operations to Dallas. With coverage being consumed with the aftermath of the hurricane, all previously scheduled events have been postponed.  The Spirit Award presentations that had been scheduled for this Friday have been rescheduled for Friday, September 22nd, when the Bobcats will take on YMLA at Bobcat Stadium starting at 7:30pm.

We would also like to take this opportunity to help our fellow Texans that have been impacted in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.  The Celina and Princeton Independent School Districts will join together to collect monetary donations at Friday’s game for the Texas Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund, sponsored through the High School Coaches Education Foundation.  The Bobcats and the Panthers are excited to support this great cause and to lend a helping hand to school districts and communities that have suffered great loss from the effects of Hurricane Harvey.  Both school districts are blessed to be surrounded by caring communities and we truly appreciate your support in this drive to help those hurricane stricken communities rebuild.

Advanced Varsity FB general admission tickets (HOME games only) will be sold at Classic Cleaners (204 E. Pecan St. Suite D Celina) Tuesdays 9:00 AM - Fridays 11:30 AM.
